Fleet & Safety Supervisor
Organic Resource Management Inc. ("ORMI") is Canada's largest provider of vacuum truck services for the collection, processing and recycling of food-related organic residuals.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated person to complement our Toronto Service Department as a Fleet and Safety Supervisor. ORMI is located in the Steeles & Hwy 400 area of Toronto. ORMI provides opportunities for various career paths with the chance for growth and professional development as well as a competitive salary and benefits package.
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate Fleet Maintenance and MTO record keeping
- Provide training and coaching to develop and enhance the technical skills of the workforce while emphasizing employee engagement and motivation.
- Perform quality control audits and in-process inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Monitor employee performance and prepare reports
- Ensure compliance with MOE record keeping
- Maintain compliance with OH&S standards, WHMIS etc.
- Develop a safe and productive work environment conducive to the prevention of loss and environmentally compliant in accordance with ORMI's Safety, Environmental and Quality Management systems.
- Monitor the facility and equipment to ensure it's in a clean and safe working condition
- Identify operational performance improvements to perfect efficiency and quality of service
Requirements:
- In order to be considered for this role, you need to have completed a College degree or equivalent and posses a minimum of 2 years of recent supervisory/leadership experience. Experience in trucking or a similar service industry is a plus.
- Must have an Excellent Mechanical knowledge of the trucking or automotive industry
- Must be willing to work at least 44 hours/wk in a hands-on dynamic environment
- Must be willing to work early morning, day or evening shifts
- Proven ability to prioritize, problem solve and implement solutions in a fast paced work environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to maintain a strong team focus to ensure a smooth and safe work flow is promoted and maintained
- You must have a good knowledge of windows based applications and knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.

AZ Technician Driver

We are currently seeking an honest person with a Strong work ethic to compliment our Toronto Service Department as a AZ Technician Driver. ORMI is located in the Steeles & Hwy 400 area of Toronto. ORMI provides opportunities for various career paths with the chance for growth and professional development as well as a competitive salary and benefits package.
Primary Function:
To perform maintenance and customer service as it relates to grease trap cleaning.
Type of Position
- Full time
Work experience and other requirements:
- Two or more years driving experience
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Must be physically fit and able to do the work involved
Skills and knowledge:
- Effective written and oral communication skills (ability to speak, read and write English)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of MTO regulations
- Knowledge of waste management services
- Knowledge and Knowledge of GTA roads and highways
- General tool use including basic skills with: Screwdriver, electric drill, pry bar, vacuum equipment
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Ontario Drivers License with a A and a Z endorsement
- Certified Professional Driver Safety Training Course Certificate
