I'm a solo handyman. Is Ormi overkill?
No. Your first 20 jobs are completely free. After that, a solo handyman pays $25 a month, or $25 if you pay for the year. That is less than most platforms charge for a single seat. No charge for office users, no tier upgrades.
How do I handle material costs + markup?
Snap a photo of the receipt. Enter cost + markup percentage. Invoice auto-includes line items with your markup applied. Materials stay visible on the invoice if the customer wants itemized pricing, or rolled up if they don't.
Can I take payments in the field?
Yes. Swipe credit cards on the mobile app (Stripe built-in), send Venmo/Zelle requests, or mark cash/check received. Every payment method supported. Payments sync to your bank account daily.
Do I need to be a 1099 contractor or LLC?
Either works. Ormi adapts to solo operators (your name, your EIN or SSN) or small LLCs (company name, multiple tech users). Tax reports at year-end work for both.
