8. Phone system and communications
Ormi provides an integrated phone and SMS system as an optional add-on service. By activating the phone system, you agree to the following terms:
Automatic billing. The phone system operates on a prepaid credit model with mandatory automatic recharging. When you enable the phone system, a valid payment method must be on file and automatic recharging must remain active for the duration of use. Your payment method will be charged automatically when your credit balance falls below a configurable threshold (default $10). You may adjust the recharge amount (minimum $20) and threshold at any time through your account settings.
Pricing. The phone system includes a monthly fee per phone number and usage-based charges for SMS messages and call minutes. Current pricing details are available in your account dashboard under Communications > Phone > Settings > Billing. Ormi reserves the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' notice.
Number porting. If you choose to transfer an existing phone number to Ormi, a one-time porting fee of $10 will be deducted from your phone credits. Porting typically takes 2-4 weeks for landline numbers and 1-3 business days for wireless numbers. Toll-free numbers (800, 888, 877, 866, 855) are not eligible for porting at this time.
Phone number assignment and release. When you activate the phone system, a dedicated phone number is provisioned and assigned to your account. This number remains active as long as your account is in good standing and credits are maintained. If your credit balance is depleted and automatic recharging fails (due to declined payment, expired card, or insufficient funds), Ormi will attempt to notify you. If credits are not replenished within thirty (30) calendar days, your phone number will be automatically released and returned to the carrier. Released numbers cannot be recovered or guaranteed to be reassigned to your account. You may reactivate the phone system at any time, but a new number will be assigned.
Call recording and compliance. If you enable call recording, a disclosure announcement is played to all parties before recording begins. You are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding call recording, including but not limited to one-party and two-party consent requirements. Ormi provides the recording tools; legal compliance is your responsibility.
SMS consent and compliance. You are responsible for obtaining proper consent before sending SMS messages to your customers. Ormi provides automated opt-in/opt-out handling (STOP, START, HELP keywords) in compliance with TCPA guidelines. Misuse of the SMS system, including sending unsolicited messages, may result in account suspension.
Service availability. The phone system relies on third-party telecommunications infrastructure. Ormi does not guarantee uninterrupted service and is not liable for outages, delays, or failures caused by telecommunications providers, network issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
To deactivate the phone system and stop all associated charges, navigate to Communications > Phone > Settings > Danger Zone in your account dashboard. Upon deactivation, your phone number will be released, remaining credits will be refunded to your original payment method where possible, and all active call forwarding and voicemail services will cease immediately.
